Brief Description:  Magnetron ground wire

Although the Magnetrons are grounded through the mounting bolts the engine manual (page 42) instructs to add grounding wires to the engine block. After removing the oil cooler, I drilled and tapped an 8-32 hole in the case just in front of the top Magnetron. I connected wires to the top and bottom Magnetrons with 1/4" push-on terminals. I had to spread the tabs slightly to get them to fit the rivet on the Magnetron. I connected the other ends of the wires to the tapped case hole. Reinstalled the oil cooler.

Before riveting the vertical tail tip back on, I checked that the wiring to the electrical pads worked OK. The test LED tail light worked as expected. The light draws 103ma at 12 volts. Riveted the tip back in place. Secured the taillight conduit in the aft fuselage.

Did a final inspection of the aft fuselage interior. All is satisfactory to close out the bottom panel.

Clecoed the bottom panel in place and installed/torqued the (4) AN525-10R12 bolts shown in ONX-B04 Detail B.
